Main Objectives of Spastics Society are

Early detection and management of physical and mental disablements of Spastic
Children caused by Cerebral Palsy.

To provide basic education and vocational training to Spastic Children of Sikkim.

Social rehabilitation of vocational and pre-vocational Spastic children of Sikkim.

Create social awareness on the cause, manifestation of disablement and social problems faced by Spastic Children/parents caused by Cerebral Palsy.

To extend technical and financial assistance to poor/ignorant parents of spastic children for the holistic development of such children.

To help prevention of injustice and crime against physically and mentally handicapped children.

To enable the Spastic children draw all the benefits given by the State and Central Government appropriately.

Establishment of an Institute of Cerebral Palsy in Gangtok followed by a sub-centre in each of the four districts which will provide facilities for services to the beneficiaries directly and training to volunteers for human resources development in the field of Cerebral Palsy.

To provide continuous training for the master trainer/staff of the institute/suitable member of the society in collaboration with Government or Non-Governmental organisations in the country or abroad to kept pace with advancing management techniques of Cerebral Palsy.

To generate adequate man-power and material resources to provide all-round high standard of the institute and its services to the beneficiaries.
